NYC can be a dog eat dog city...but it doesn't have to be!
Today, we're going to share one of my favorite organizations located in the City that is always in need of volunteers. As part of my series, we're sharing the BEST, most noteworthy and innovative organizations that value your time and allow you to have fun by getting involved in NYC and giving back. So get excited, because there are some really amazing opportunities in the City that are just waiting for you.
Remember when you were younger and used to love the simple pleasure of stroking a cat or cuddling with puppies? Well, guess what? Puppies still exist! (And they are still so cute!) Even if your building co-op doesn't allow you to have a pet, or you're too much of a workaholic or commitment-phobe to adopt an animal (at this stage of your life), don’t fret my pet. You can still rekindle your love of animals without having to forfeit your lifestyle ... you can have fun while doing it! Here's how:
The ASPCA is one of the most honorable organizations that ought to be on the forefront of your minds! The Animal Society for the Prevention of Animal Cruelty allows volunteers to unleash (pun intended!) their love for animals and volunteer in a state-of-the art facility in the heart of Manhattan.
Special thanks to Mallory Kerley and Senior VP of the ASPCA, Gail Buchwald, who takes us on a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility and shows us how we can get involved.
For every person who leaves a comment, a certain ASPCA-loving donor has agreed to add an additional $50 to their annual donation, up to $500, so please leave a comment and THANKS FOR WATCHING!
